~ Before reaching the car, we stopped at a dried fruit seller…after watching him sell to others, I impulsively asked which raisin variety was sweetest…he indicated the 特级树上干 dark raisins which differed from others in having been dried on the vine rather than in a chunche grape-drying house…I purchased ¾ kilo which have turned out to be a flavorful reminder of Turpan in my Beijing apartment…NIU Tieying gave me a small bunch of Xinjiang grapes which I also brought back to Beijing…the final two images were taken in my apartment after returning from the trip…the vendor was courteous and friendly, as shown in his farewell
