~ This series is an example of spotting an opportunity, setting up the shot, and realizing the vision...as we drove along on a distant track I spotted a single Lamprotornis superbus, Superb Starling, on a flowering branch of Delonix elata...in most cases, a sighting of Lamprotornis superbus would not be any reason for stopping as they're common throughout Kenya...however, in this instance the juxtaposition of the bird's vibrant blue plumage with the pastel hues of the Delonix elata blooms was exquisite...it constituted a nirvana moment in my safari wildlife photography — pure awareness without anything else needed aside from gratitude to have seen such loveliness
