~ When first sighted, the Ciconia ciconia were on the ground. At our slow approach they took to the air, flying in a wide circle around the large grassy area. Their wings beat in unison, with no obvious strain. Eventually they settled in acacias or on distant grassy areas. How far ha they come before resting in southern Kenya?
