~ The small rectangular formal pond was inhabited by several Hylarana nigrovittata, who sat on lilypads…pond insects crawled by them without provoking any response…a couple of the diminutive frogs had a tail, which may suggest that those individuals were relatively young…their deep coppery color and two-tone design with dark brown inspired this series as those are colors I've liked since childhood
