~ The Autumn 2013 Semester was especially memorable due to the UCAS International College class at the Zhongguancun campus…talented graduate students from Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and the USA brought their enthusiasm and intelligence to the class every Wednesday afternoon…after the final instructional class, they surprised me by having Kyrgyz graduate student Chyntemir Niiazbek present a handmade card from all students written in various languages…I was moved by their thoughtfulness, which capped off a memorable semester…at the end I asked them to let go and "be crazy", which they did, as shown in the final images…unquestionably one of the finest classes of my professional career
