~ My greatest misjudgment during the August, 2014 safari in Kenya was taking the super telephoto lenses into the gardens of the National Museum of Kenya without an umbrella…although Jian and I sought shelter under trees, the intensity of the rainfall made it necessary for Jian to seek out an umbrella…I was distraught at the prospect of rain damage to the cameras and lenses, but they were adequately protected…a children's face-painting event was disrupted by the inclement conditions
