~ After enjoying the sight of the newborn elephant scrambling after its mother, we drove a bit further. Having both Loxodonta africana, African Elephant, and Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata, Reticulated Giraffe, within the same camera frame was a welcome happenstance. Both animals remained stationary sufficiently long for a set of joint portraits. Two emblematic Meru species with weaver nests, conveying the ease with which wildlife may be observed in Meru National Park.
