~ What most powerfully pulled me back to Zizhuyuan Park after a two year absence was the possibility of photographing Fringilla montofringilla, Brambling…they're a finch, similar to a Chaffinch, which migrate relatively long visitors, and are a late autumn and winter visitor to Beijing…they were tough to find, but looking overhead found a few perching ion high overhead branches…their rust red plumage and speckled sides are attractive…these late afternoon shots were especially appreciated for the rarity of seeing Bramblings in Beijing
