~ Reaching the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Visitor Center, I found that the cold drink vending machines weren't operational…I asked the two volunteers at the desk, who were unable to help…as a brief rainstorm began at that moment, we had a surprisingly humorous, intelligent, easygoing conversation…River Valley High School students Ms. Grace NG and Mr. SHI Hongzhou are shown in these images…the finest gift of my 60th birthday in Singapore was a vibrant new friendship with Hongzhou, who's from Yunnan, Kunming and is a talented writer, thinker and reliably humorous individual…his fresh ideas, sincerity and offbeat take on life are such a pleasure
