~ After early afternoon arrival in the camp, as is usual practice, there were several hours for rest prior to the afternoon game drive. Using the large lens, a few test shots were made. Outside of my tent were tall shrubs, a few having fruit. A bird was singing at sufficiently close range for portrait photos. Cisticola galactotes, or Winding Cisticola, its distinctive barred tail feathers were prominent. Settling into the rhthm of a safari camp, I watched the active Cisticola practicing its song.
