~ This series was taken during an early afternoon visit to Beijing's Tiananmen Square on Wednesday, 4 June, 2014…as the photographs plainly show, there were very few visitors…given the layers of intrusive security, it's no wonder that most preferred to stay away on this occasion…once again it was surprising to see a fair number of visitors clad from head to toe in black clothing…these images are exceptional for no more reason than the near absence of visitors in what is typically an overcrowded space
