~ The visit to the Summer Palace with QIU Wenhui was a mini-shooting expedition…it was also the 'maiden voyage' of "Big Mamama', the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super telephoto lens…due to low light and heavy winds, it was a less than optimal sitruation for photography…various bird photos didn't turn out well, but this pair of images of Tachybaptus ruficollis, Little Grebe, hints at what may yet come from this special lens
