~ The most prominent activity along the Mombasa Highway was the extensive construction activities of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) 中国路桥 which is building a standard gauge railway line linking Mombasa and Nairobi...these images were taken by the Sony RX1 R camera pointed out of of the window of the rapidly moving safari van, showing a variety of construction camps, railway bed preparation, Chinese language 中文 signs with a few Swahili signs...the scale and scope of the massive railway project is self-evident in numerous locations along the Mombasa Highway
