~ Saruni drove the vehicle at a moderate pace in order to maximize bird-viewing opportunities. Around one gentle corner and there it was in the middle of the red earth track — Sagittarius serpentarius, the Secretarybird. As it walked along in the characteristic long-legged strut, it bent its long neck, whether to listen or to observe we didn't know. It was one of the finest Sagittarius serpentarius sightings I've ever had.
