~ Along the Mombasa Highway mosques are seen, as is also the case elsewhere...in Makindu the Jamia Mosque is set in a garden-like parcel with trees providing shade for worshippers...as with mosques throughout Kenya the structure is white with deep green exterior decorations, and four mini-minarets at the corners
