~ For World Elephant Day 2014 here is a trio of images of elephants near the Ewaso Ng'iro River in the Samburu Nature Reserve in north central Kenya…these handheld images were taken with an EOS 1D X camera using an EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super telephoto lens…the skilled safari guide was Mr. Anthony Gitau…African Elephants are highly intelligent, exceptional parents and cause no harm to other species…they deserve protection and respect
