~ After their mother, Amani, strolled away and settled into a grassy repose, the three cubs continued eating. Soon they became agitated by her absence, looking around, tails twitching. Eventually one cub walked over, while the other two continued feasting on the impala carcass which their mother had provided. The remaining transitional frizzy dark hair on their upper necks was a reminder of their appearance when I'd met them as babies seven months previously.
