~ This large Diptera with eyes which connected landed on the flat-topped stone wall surrounding the observation pavilion atop Noomotio. It was Tabanus biguttutus, Hippo Fly, a relative of horse flies. The first image was made with the Sony camera and second was made by the Canon camera and the super telephoto lens.
