~ The previous day Bubalornis niger, Red-billed Buffalo-Weaver, had been photographed...this sighting and photography of Bubalornis albirostris, White-billed Buffalo-Weaver, was somewhat surprising because the East Africa bird guidebook map doesn't indicate it lives in the Tsavo West area...it was feeding on grass with Quelea quelea, in apparent harmony...when post-processing the images in Beijing, in one photograph there are two moderately sizable insects with yellow ‘eye spots’ on their backs, or so it seems, their identity uncertain...are they a species of Pachnoda, flower beetles?
