~ Around the pond at Hunter's Lodge reeds with cattails grew, in which weavers built nests...Ploceus subaureus, African Golden Weaver, was especially active, fluttering around the woven ball-nests, chittering and cheeping...after lunch I realized that there were Ploceus subaureus nests on both sides of the pond...the birds weren't especially shy, being caught up in the nest-weaving process
