~ A visit to the Montblanc boutique in the Malls at Oriental Plaza was intended to buy a bottle of grey ink…however, sales representative & staff trainer LIU Yang (刘洋), walked me through various demonstration pens resulting in the purchase of a Montblanc 145 Classique, Meisterstück 90th Anniversary red gold fountain pen…the ostensible reason behind the purchase was to have a travel fountain pen, as ink bottles aren't acceptable in air flight carry-on luggage…after practicing with the pen for several hours, I've adjusted to its relatively diminutive size…the F/fine nib writes well, with line width variation if pressed hard…a surprise purchase which is growing on me with use
