~ Several Loxodonta africana, African Elephant, families were at a waterhole below my room at Rhino Valley Lodge...almost immediately after I sat on the veranda to observe, they moved towards another waterhole...the sight of them as social groups protecting their youngest members was impressive as these images show...the distance was ideal for the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super telephoto lens to capture several elephants in one frame
