~ Walking down a lonely gravel path several young Varanus salvator, Water Monitor, skittered down to the water…this particular Varanus salvator permitted a gradual yet close approach…it continued looking at me while the shutter was clicking…a juvenile water monitor was also in the same area showing the distinctive yellow bands which fade in later years
