~ Round a bend, turn a corner, pass beyond a tree and...three gerenuks! The living epitome of form following function, Litocranius walleri, Gerenuk, is a species which is a highlight when observed on any game drive. These three lithe demoiselles were walking together, with a retinue of small flies. We stopped to enjoy their graceful beauty. That natural selection has produced such an exquisite animal is a wonder. Although they walked off into the bush, we would have gladly continued watching.
