~ The small waterhole at the Samburu Sopa Lodge serves as an occasional water source for a variety of birds and mammals. In several visits in different seasons I've observed quite a variety of wildlife drinking from the waterhole's limited supply. Before the afternoon game drive began a flock of Vulturine Guineafowl arrived. It was temporarily unclear whether they were more attracted to the shade or to the water itself. A solitary Grevy's Zebra arrived, drinking for a couple of minutes before walking away.
