~ Anthony drove towards Lake Amboseli in mid-day heat, through flat country with almost no sign of life...I spotted not one, but two birds perched alone in the empty expanse...the nearer was a female Falco naumanni, Lesser Kestrel, while the farther was Melierax poliopterus, Eastern Chanting-Goshawk...almost immediately after we stopped Falco naumanni took flight, as shown in several images...Melierax polipterus remained perched on a lonely grass tussock
