~ At a shallow stream crossing we spotted an assemblage of yellow butterflies on the ground. They were Eurema desjardinsii regularis, Desjardin's Grass Yellow Butterfly, a Pierid butterfly. There were also several Belenois aurota, Brown-veined White butterflies present. Anthony and I were absorbed in photographed the small organisms which enhanced the game drive with their elegant beauty. Their focus was the moisture in the compacted soil, their tongues uncurled to sip the life-sustaining moisture. We were elated to have observed them under such favorable conditions — one of the smallest species on the safari yet a treasured memory.
