~ This wildflower, Cleome hirta, was blooming beside the track near the Rhino Valley Lodge...it was the only example of its species that was observed throughout the 11-day safari...spotting, photographing and identifying wildflowers is as fulfilling as doing likewise with birds or animals...I'm especially fortunate that guide/driver Anthony Gitau willingly stops for wildflower photography
