~ This series was taken at the Mtito Andei Gate of Tsavo West National Park...although it had been a long drive from Nairobi, there was palpable excitement to have arrived at the first of four locales in the 11-day safari...it was heavily overcast, with a hint of possible rain...I'd never seen Terminalia orbicularis before, which is apparently endemic to Kenya
