~ It turned out that Sanya saved the best surprise until the very end…I was about to put away the camera and lens, to walk back to the Tianze Hotel, when this Halcyon smyrnensis, White-Throated Kingfisher, arrived and perched directly in front of the small riverside shelter where I was standing…what more needs to be said, as these vibrant images demonstrate, the beautiful bird put on quite a show!
