~ The return drive to the bridge linking Buffalo Springs National Reserve with Samburu National Reserve was rapid and direct. We observed no one else throughout our morning in Buffalo Springs until the end. Three large safari vehicles were closely parked together, with visitors observing and photographing an unknown subject. We slowed down and looked. It was a flock of Superb Starlings. Apparently they were newly arrived visitors. Before crossing the bridge we noticed that it had already been damaged by a passing vehicle.
