~ These images were taken from a considerable distance, cropped and sharpened so as to bring out detail…in a tree on the far side of the pond at the Mudflat Hide of the Hong Kong Wetland Park a male Saxicola maurus, 黑喉石即鸟, Siberian Stonechat, was perched on a lower branch with a much larger Lanius schach, 大红背伯劳, Long-tailed Shrike, above…as shrikes prey on smaller birds, it was a standoff
