~ This series was taken several minutes before sundown, from the wondows of the 8th floor where I live…this flock of racing pigeons actively circles from dawn to dusk…as the frigid air was especially clear, I added the EF 1.4x Teleconverter to the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II and mounted it on the EOS 1D X…the resulting 560mm was capable of moderate resolution of the indivividual pigeons, despite them being a couple of kilometers away, to the northwest
