~ Haojun very thoughtfully went with me to Hankou Railway Station to see me off...it took ingenuity and commitment to work out the various train tickets, including his own return to Tianmen and Lushi...we took final portraits of one another once I was seated in seat 17D of car 4 in train G518 to Beijing...he'd talked his way onto the platform to assist the frail, older foreigner...upon arrival in Beijing there was snow on the ground...I was given a good luck charm made by the 93 year old father of LI Jun, and a pair of bear's foot slippers as a gift from Haojun's mother, LU Jihong...a truly memorable, pleasant and special Lunar New Year!
