~ The exuberance we felt on beginning a second full day in Meru National Park was matched by the pleasant morning air. Anthony drove down the seldom used perimeter fence track, as he and I enjoy exploring such out-of-the-way paths. The lush vegetation was a tonic, bracing me for the day, as plants are the foundation of Meru's charm, providing food, shelter and shade for wildlife.
