~ Poor doves!...they receive almost no respect on safaris, as they're ubiquitous and not regarded as being worthy of note...many is the time when a bird is spotted only to be scornfully described as being ‘just a dove’...this Streptopelia capicola, Ring-necked Dove, was daintily perched on a branch and didn't immediately fly away, hence this image was made
