~ A solitary juvenile Tachybaptus ruficollis was the only bird species we observed towards the close of our afternoon photography shooting expedition…unexpectedly we both heard duck quacking through reeds…although the light was low, we stealthily approached an opening in the redds and photographed these secluded Anas platyrhynchos, Mallards…a case of continuing to search until the finish resulting in a positive outcome
