~ The light was low in early evening when we encountered several Acryllium vulturinum, Vulturine Guineafowl, beside the track...I was surprised, as I'd mistakenly supposed that they exclusively inhabited the dry north, e.g. Samburu...these birds were relatively sedate, not running around willy-nilly like their cousins, Numida meleagris
