~ Within the small rectangular formal pool nymphaea grew…the white nymphaea were blooming…insects were active on the lilypads, including a bright blue Pseudagrion microcephalum, Blue Riverdamsel…the relative stillness of the small formal pool was a microenvironment entirely separate from the surrounding Botanic Gardens
