~ While working a bit after 3 am, I happened to check the weather, with the surprising news that it was snowing…taking the EOS 1D X and the exceptionally reliable Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZE lens, I took these late night photographs of the snowfall on the UCAS campus in Beijing…all of these images are handheld and manually focused…they were taken looking out of the 8th floor windows of the building where I live…most exposures are over 1 second, with several longer, including one 8 second exposure of snow-covered trees below my kitchen window…the campus street lights lend a pale golden tone to the snow…the reliability of the Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZE lens in faithfully capturing colors is demonstrated in these images…with Spring arriving tomorrow, this shows the local topsy-turvy climate
