~ For 2013's first photo album, I walked to a nearby plant and cut flower center…after selecting eight red and yellow tulips, I carefully shielded them in the biting sub-zero New Year's Day winds…I took a series of images of the tulips on my kitchen table using the EOS 1D X and the manually focussed Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZE normal and macro lens…I settled on thirteen images for 2013 as the theme, then took one of the thirteen and added a greeting to send to friends and family to welcome 2013
