~ These images of Panthera pardus, Leopard, were taken well after sundown at the Ngulia Safari Lodge in Tsavo West National Park...the grainy images at ISO 25600 show a leopard eating the remains of a goat which were hung as bait to attract it...there was no advance indication that we were being taken to see this, until we were hustled out of the safari van through the open air lobby bar to a stone porch overlooking a wooden log set-up with the leopard completing its meal...evidently the leopard hadn't appeared for three weeks until that particular night...a wild leopard, it nonetheless is capable of hunting its own prey without being dependent on goat-bait provided to induce a nightly show for guests...in honor of the leopard's independence, dignity and natural beauty, these images are posted...within the past twelve months Anthony has enabled me to photograph Panthera pardus in four locations: Samburu, Maasai Mara, Meru and Tsavo West
