~ The Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti is near the Ponte dell' Accademia…within the iron fence is a garden with thriving camellias in several colors…my Easter afternoon visit there was especially satisfying as there were few other visitors…the small garden was brightened by the low afternoon Sun, with San Vidal in the background…the carved wellhead was the most striking of its kind that I saw in Venice
