~ As the rainfall gently tapered off, we drove towards the Mara River boundary with Tanzania, after watching giraffes, impala and warthogs from a distance…our skilled naturalist guide, Anthony, stopped the safari van and pointed out this Stigmochelys pardalis, 豹纹陆龟, Leopard Tortoise, grazing among tiny yellow wildflowers…his superb spotting enabled us to observe the slow forward motion of the tortoise, as it munched on the flowers…at one point it withdrew into its capacious shell, but soon resumed its progress
