~ A new species for me was this solitary Mycteria leucocephala, 白头鹮鹳, Painted Stork, on a sand bar with Egretta garzetta and Numenius phaeopus…it was sitting on its haunches, a pose seldom seen in any species…it was somewhat distant, thus this image lacks much helpful detail…an impressive bird which reminded me of Kenyan species at Lake Navaisha and on the Mara River
