~ A small coterie of gulls wheeled around and dived toward the water surface along the Zattere…although they represented mixed species, Hydrocoloeus minutus was especially noticeable by their soaring and downward plunges…the gulls seemed healthy and active, indirectly suggesting that the Venetian marine environment was a congenial habitat
