~ A substantial benefit from interacting with others through Safaritalk has been the raising of awareness of wildlife conservation issues. One of those concerns the decreasing populations of vultures, due to various factors including the use of veterinary drugs which adversely affect vultures. Therefore it was a special joy to observe a healthy vulture population in Buffalo Springs National Reserve. A number of larger trees served as roosts for the vultures, which flew back and forth from one tree to another.
