~ This was the first wildlife image taken in Tsavo National Park...a solitary Francolinus sephaena, Crested Francolin, crossing a red-earth track, it's especially pleasing as it gives the ful context...over time it's been clear that I'm not skilled at making razor-sharp close-up images of animal and birds which fill the frame...rather, I enjoy portraying species in their ecological context, even though that often means they appear small without all of the detail which other nature photographers capture...my efforts are more in the line of ecological context photos, such as this one, which are true to life
