~ The highlight of the hour-long shooting expedition to the nearby Buddleja patch was a large, light-green Mantis religiosa, Praying Mantis, 薄翅螳螂…it hung beneath a Buddleja flower stalk, patiently waiting for prey…as the clumsy photographer lacked stealth, the mantis turned its head to watch the comings and goings of the intrusive camera lenses…the majority of these images were taken with the Sony RX1 R camera's Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm lens
