~ The discipline of relying on black & white images resulted in tho series, shot in and around the Shanghai Institutes of Biology…to the greatest degree possible I left myself open to receiving images as I encountered them, without extensive thought as to what I might photograph…the cycling students was pure happenstance, as were several of the interior shots
